Message I put it at $20K, which was way low, but I needed something to get them
started while I put my documentation together, then I go and hit a
canyon wall!!

They're being really good about it (so far) but their initial estimate
(without teardown to really see what's up), was around $6800. I knew
the front crumple zones had been tweaked and the rad support frame as
well, so I knew it would be more.

It's closer to $11K in repairs now. They have yet to get back to the
repair shop after having two days with the repair shop's revised
estimate, to mull it over.

Insurance companies respond quickly at first, then move at a glacial
pace as payout time gets closer.

Disclaimer: Some people have confused myself, Michael Smith of MWS
Motorsports with Mike Smith of MS Performance / Jim Wolf Technologies,
featured in Mike Kojima's Sport Compact Car magazine Project Z articles.
While the comparison is flattering, it is important to make the distinction.
Please help spread the word by always try to refer to each "Mike Smith" by
their respective companies.
